Mr. C. said (March 7, 1818)
If the Emperor of Russia
were to offer
to make turnpike roads
in the State of Kentucky,
or in any other
state in the Union,
I should be
yet happy
to have it
done.
Mr. C. is an American attorney and statesman who has represented Kentucky in both the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. "Mr. C. said" is an archival poetry project drawing from Mr. C.'s correspondence.
