Perry Jordan, the former owner of the chair, lived in this house at least since 1966, when Dave, the man who sat for the photograph, lived across the street as a child. Perry was an auto body specialist by trade and had hobbies that included old-fashioned photography (which is where the large fresno in the picture most likely came from), phonograph repair, and being a church ladies’ man (according to Dave, “He loved, loved, loved his women and they loved him too”). Perry left his home on Sparks when his children moved him to the Wilmore Veterans Care nursing home after he turned 97.
