Last month’s September publication will be North of Center’s last. Over the coming weeks, some unfinished and previously-planned articles will continue to be published to the website and Facebook page. Notwithstanding those backlog pieces, from here on out NoC will begin to fade away.

  1. This is sad. I just found you today.

  2. I too just found North of Center. Mazel tov on your future endeavors. Any chance you could publish a list of your favorite, relevant links and likes, just so there’re some other places to go from here?

  3. While I haven’t agreed with every position you have taken, it was easy to see that yours was the only public voice in our community that was so consistently progressive and uncompromising in your defiance of the corporatocracy. It will be missed. I hope you will remain vocal to help shape the future of our community through some other outlet.

  4. As a former Lexington resident who couldn’t take it anymore, I have to say this is a disappointing thing to wake up to this morning. NoC was one of the few voices of reason in my time KY-way and I’m sure it’ll be missed in the community. Best of luck in whatever endeavors you embark on next.

  5. I just found out about this too! As someone who was fortunate enough to write the front page story on the first ever issue, I have to say that I’ll miss this paper. Thanks to Danny for keeping it going all of these years.

  6. Late to the announcement, and bummed to hear it. Thanks to all you writers, editors, and photographers. My girlfriend and I had just been regularly picking up paper copies around town when they came around. NoC has been a great at divulging the unspoken and unseen around these parts.
